For educators

The Lean Six Sigma Educator Course

Give your students a head start with industry-recognized Lean Six Sigma certifications. In three days of hands-on training with a Master Black Belt, you'll prepare for your Green Belt exam and leave with a classroom-ready toolkit.

Certifications should do more than decorate a wall. They should open doors for students in work and life.

I left the course feeling inspired, more confident in my problem-solving abilities, and excited to bring these concepts into both my work and educational settings.

How it works

From training to teaching, in three steps.

  1. Optional

    Get a head start

Take the free online White Belt certification for a glimpse of what's ahead. It's encouraged, but not required.

  2. Train in person for three days

Hands-on instruction and 1:1 coaching with a Master Black Belt. You'll get our exclusive educator toolkit, learn how to deliver it to your students and take your Green Belt exam at the end.

  3. Teach it in your classroom

Once you pass, bring the Yellow Belt curriculum into your classroom. You'll also get a code with a year of Yellow Belt exam credits for your students.

In their words

What educators say

This was one of the best professional development experiences I have attended. The instructors used storytelling, hands on activities, and real world examples to make complex concepts easy to understand and remember.

I walked into this training only knowing that lean meant reducing waste. I now know how to streamline outcomes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Educator FAQ

Still have questions? Email support@fifthsierra.com.

What if I need more than 20 educator seats?

Email support@fifthsierra.com and we'll help you plan for a larger group.

How quickly can our school get set up?

Courses run year-round. After you register, a Fifth Sierra representative will reach out to set dates based on regional availability and instructor schedules.

Can Fifth Sierra come to our school?

Yes. For private group purchases, we can arrange on-site instruction to reduce travel and keep your team engaged.

Can we use the materials in our own curriculum?

Yes. You can bring Yellow Belt content into your curriculum however you like, all at once or spread across a semester or year.

Can several educators at our school share the materials?

Yes. Each educator registers separately, completes the Green Belt course and passes the Green Belt certification exam.

We bought a Private Group toolkit. What's next?

A consultant will contact you to schedule your in-person Green Belt course. Have a few 3-day date options and your location details ready.

I'm interested in an Individual toolkit. What's next?

Courses need a minimum number of participants, so contact us to join the wait list. When there's enough interest in your area, we'll reach out and you can buy a toolkit to reserve your seat. The wait is shorter if you can travel or organize a private group.

Will food be provided?

Yes. Snacks and drinks are provided throughout the course.

How do students access their Yellow Belt exams?

After you pass the Green Belt exam, you'll receive a code for one year of Yellow Belt exam credits. Students enter the code when they create their account. When they pass, their certification arrives instantly by email. Each retake uses a new credit.

How does this fit with career readiness or CTE goals?

Students earn credentials recognized across industries, and you can build the skills into core courses or CTE pathways.
